FILM PREMIERE + NEW LEEDS SHOW
Firstly, thanks very much to everyone who came out to see us emerge from our hibernation in Leipzig. It was great to get back out and make some noise for you.
Now that we’ve established we’re not dead yet, lets get down to some business. Like a film premiere and some more rock shows.
A DIVORCE BEFORE MARRIAGE FILM PREMIERE
I LIKE TRAINS the movie has its premiere set for the Picturehouse Central in London on June 25th as part of the Open City Documentary Festival. Get your tickets for just £10, and help us celebrate our freedom from those cameras cramping our rock and roll lifestyle. There will be a Q&A session with the film directors and David, Ian and Simon of popular beat combo I LIKE TRAINS. We’re led to believe there will be some kind of after party too. Keep your ear to the ground for details of that, and let us know if you hear anything!
UPDATE: Tickets for the premiere have now sold out, but a second screening is set for 3.30pm on Sunday 26th June at the Picturehouse Central. Tickets here.
NEW ROCK SHOWS
Much like London buses, you wait for one ILT rock show and then three turn up in within a year of each other.
Next up is Bluedot Festival on July 24th. We get to play miserable rock music in the shadow of Jodrell Bank and on the same stage as Caribou and some other stuff. You better have a good excuse for missing this otherwise you can bag your tickets here.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be headlining this year’s High & Lonesome Festival at our spiritual home, The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on November 19th. Plans are afoot to hit record at the end of this year, so we will be taking this opportunity to test some new songs alongside some indie disco classics.
